CLINTON — In a contest that came down to the final match, Clinton's third doubles team of Andrew Corrigan and Tom Georgess defeated Jessie Morrison and Matt Mosack 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 of Oneida for a 4-3 overall win. The Tri-Valley league match was Oneida's first loss of the season.

WESTFIELD, IN — Vernon Downs will host a Harness Horse Youth five-day overnight camp July 12-16 as part of the U.S. Trotting Association's Back to the Track program. Youth between the ages of 12-14 are eligible for the camp for a fee of $150. The cost includes overnight accommodations at the Vernon Downs Hotel, all meals and camp materials. The event concludes July 16 with exhibitions featuring all participants.

HOLLAND PATENT — Holland Patent scored four runs in the fourth inning in a 9-4 win over Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's baseball team in a Tri-Valley League game. The victory keeps HP undfeated this season. Tyler Mautner went 2-for-2 and Cole Barbano went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs for the Red Devils in defeat.
