HAMILTON — Eighth graders Rebecca Rogers and Hayden Nolan teamed for a one hitter. That took care of the defense. Sara Whyatt hit a grand slam in the first inning to provide all the offense necessary.

SHERRILL — Micaela Shay and Sarah Pritchard had their low rounds of the year to lead Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's girls golf team to a 205-232 win over Holland Patent in a Tri-Valley League match Wednesday. Remsen student Rachel Halwig had the lowest round of the day with a 40 for Holland Patent.
